Condolences to the Family of Chantel Crump
15th March 2025
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Chantel Crump, whose life was tragically taken from us.
The entire Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation mourns alongside her loved ones, our colleagues, and the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
To Chantel’s family, no words can ease your pain, but please know that you are not alone. Your grief is our grief, and your sorrow is felt throughout the nation.
We stand with you, offering our unwavering support and love in this dark hour. May you find strength in the embrace of those who care for you and in the prayers of a nation that mourns this devastating loss.
This tragedy is deeply personal to us, as Chantel was the sister and niece of members of our staff. As a Ministry dedicated to the well-being and protection of our nation’s most vulnerable, we feel this loss not only as colleagues but as a family.
It is also a painful reminder of the urgency of our work—to create safer communities, strengthen protections for our children, and ensure that no family endures such heartbreak again.
Chantel’s passing must serve as a call to action for all of us to be vigilant, to stand against violence, and to work together to safeguard the innocence of every child in Antigua and Barbuda
To the people of Antigua and Barbuda, let us unite in grief, compassion, and unwavering resolve. Chantel’s memory must not fade—it must fuel our determination to build a society where our children are safe, cherished, and protected from harm.
May her innocent soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find strength in the love and support that surrounds them.
