I think UPP has made a big comeback, based on the last election. It shows that ABLP needs to be more vigilant, and don’t take the people for granted anymore. I have recognized that when a party has the majority, they think they can treat the people as they want. But it only takes one finger to get dirty, then you see. Congrats ABLP. Please do the people’s work

The results of the elections yesterday is a win for the people of Antigua and Barbuda. It should ensure greater accountability and more due diligence in many of the things that have plague Antigua and Barbuda recently. We were in a sad situation where the “eyes” always have it because of their share numbers and this resulted in very little debates and little or no due diligence. Every Government needs a strong Opposition and with the likes of Asot Michael, Sherfield Bowen, Algernon Watts and others, we should be witnessing a new day in Parliament with more robust. This is good for Democracy!
