Quick action by the police has led to the arrest of three males following an incident in Ottos.

Police say the incident happened around 11:30, during the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

It is alleged that the three suspects, aged 22, 18 and 17, went to the home of an 18 year old male, and threatened to kill him and his family.

They were traveling in a white Honda Inspire car, and were reportedly armed with knives, a machete and a piece of stick.

The Ottos teenager ran into his yard and was unharmed.

The suspects, who are from Old Parham Road and Villa addresses, were subsequently arrested by police following a search.

The vehicle they were traveling in was also seized. Police investigations continue.
