Karim Warner

A bench warrant has been issued for Karim Warner this morning, a suspended police officer, after he failed to appear in court today on charges of discharging a firearm in a public place and assault.

The bench warrant authorizes law enforcement to arrest Warner due to his absence for his scheduled court appearance.

Despite Warner’s absence, the court proceedings continued with the investigator present and the case file served. The trial date has been set for November 26 of this year.

Warner’s charges stem from an incident in December last year, where he allegedly fired 12 shots at a vehicle occupied by two individuals in Willikies.

The officer, who pleaded not guilty, is accused of discharging his weapon at a white Toyota Mark X.

The car’s occupants were identified as a man from Hodges Bay and his girlfriend from Liberta.

According to reports, the conflict arose from a dispute over a leased vehicle.

Warner allegedly claimed that one of the complainants had failed to return a vehicle he had leased to them. In an apparent attempt to reclaim the vehicle, Warner is accused of firing the shots.

Police investigators reportedly found evidence at the scene, including bullet holes near the handle of one of the car’s rear doors and spent shells in the vicinity of the vehicle.

If he is the worst cop in Antigua, we don’t need him in our police force.
