The High Court of Justice has dismissed a claim made by D. Gisele Isaac against Michael Browne, the former Minister of Education, and the Cabinet, represented by Attorney-General Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin.
The claim stems from Isaac’s controversial suspension and subsequent dismissal from her role as Executive Secretary of the Board of Education in August 2014, as well as an investigative report about her time in that position. This report was aired on ZDK radio by the late Tanny Rose.
Isaac argued that the publication of the investigation report, which was released without giving her a chance to respond, violated her rights and was unfair. She also sought compensation for damage to her reputation.
However, Justice Jan Drysdale ruled against her today, dismissing the case.
