The government has engaged a consultancy firm to evaluate the performance of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) and offer strategic recommendations for enhancements.
This initiative arises from a critical goal: to guarantee that APUA consistently delivers adequate potable water to a diverse range of customers, including households, hotels, businesses, and institutions, on a reliable basis.
APUA is responsible for generating approximately seventy-five percent (75%) of the nation’s potable water supply to meet growing demand.
In light of this, the Cabinet is particularly keen on implementing several new reverse osmosis plants, aimed at increasing capacity to match consumption needs.
