Frustrated Pensioner Pickets Outside Social Security Office For Payments Years Overdue

Under the glaring heat of the midday sun on Tuesday, a determined woman stood outside the Social Security office on Long Street in St. John’s, holding a picket sign that reflected her frustration.

Once employed by LIAT 1974 Ltd, she voiced her grievances about a significant delay in receiving her pension payments.

Despite having submitted her claims to Social Security over eight months ago, she lamented that she had yet to see a single cent.

    Miss I will pray on your behalf. Former worker of Liat 1974 and still having to wait on social security after your long years. It’s almost as if you gotta die and not get your money. You are being beated with 2 weapons and i hope there’s a way out for you.

    If I am not mistaken did I not here the PM say recently that social security had a surplus?. Come on government you took her money while she was working give it by to her now that she needs it
