You can now listen to Antigua News articles!
On 17th December 2024, I appeared on Twin Island Media for an interview which was streamed live via Facebook.
During that interview, Dr. Cleon Athill wrote several unfortunate comments about me on Facebook.
Let it be known as follows:
1. After her selection and confirmation as the UPP’s candidate in St. Paul’s, there were several campaign strategy meetings held by the St. Paul’s UPP Branch of which Dr. Athill and I were a part.
2. At no point did I say that I advised Dr. Athill.
3. I maintain that I liked her approach of not giving bribes. HOWEVER, I TOOK A STRONG OBJECTION ON HOW SHE CONVEYED AND SOLD THIS MESSAGE.
4. At no point did I ever say or suggest that I advised or had discussions with Dr. Athill about anyone asking her for $2000. She was not a part of the UPP at the time when the request was made.
5. At no point did I ever suggest she left UPP because I had returned to Antigua and had interest in running.
I SAID THE EXACT OPPOSITE I encourage all to listen to the full interview below.

Wayne Benjamin Marsh
Bla bla bla bla bla so what?
They have too much heart. so what all of this. Are they reconsidering their mistake. Miss Athil have a little humility in you. Come off your pedal stool man and be a people person. It was good when. It lasted. Chupz
Wayne, listening to the interview clears up nothing.
Take this for example “4. At no point did I ever say or SUGGEST that I advised or had discussions with Dr. Athill about anyone asking her for $2000. She was not a part of the UPP at the time when the request was made.”
Wayne Marsh said in the interview:
“I was very, very, very moved and embarrassed and sad at the same time when a particular person who I’ve gone to school with, I’ve known this individual for many, many years. And she came and said, I need $2,000 to pay my light bill. At the time, the individual for whom I was campaigning could not, would not, and did not give.
My suggestion was to that individual (THE CANDIDATE) is that you have to educate this person as to why you cannot and will not do it in such a way that the person does not believe that you are condemning them, you’re cursing them, or you’re belittling them.”
So who was “the individual for whom I was campaigning”? Not Dr. Athill? Who was it? Gregory Athill? Namba? Why doesn’t Wayne simply tell us who he was referring to? We know why
Wayne Marsh gives lawyers a worse bad name than they already have.
He said: “My suggestion was to that individual is that you have to educate this person as to why you cannot and will not do it in such a way that… blah blah blah”
Who was Wayne advising? Not Dr. Athill, who he claims to have been campaigning for? Who does Wayne Marsh think he is fooling?
Wayne Marsh is a tinkin dutty liar! And so is Yawn for claiming to have listened to the recording of Wayne.
There are many more Wayne Marsh lies exposed by listening to the interview. Perhaps Wayne invited people to listen thinking they would not. Poor fool! This is 2024 not 1974.
