A residential burglary was reported in Five Islands on Monday afternoon by a woman who returned home to find her house in a state of chaos.
The perpetrators are suspected to have gained entry via a window before ransacking the property in search of valuables.
Two flat-screen televisions were stolen, along with a collection of silver and gold jewellery.
The total value of the stolen items has not yet been determined.
According to reports, officers recovered potential items that appear to have possibly been used by the burglars during the break in to gain access to the property, including a knife and screwdriver.
Investigations are currently underway.
In a separate incident on Monday, a Golden Grove man reported that burglars forced entry into his home through a secondary door.
The perpetrators allegedly pried open a deadbolt lock to gain access, stealing an air compressor and bicycle.
