ABWU General Secretary David Massiah will be sworn in as a UPP senator

The General Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union (ABWU) is among four people who will be sworn in this morning as United Progressive Party senators

David Massiah a trade unionist said “yes” to a call from the hierarchy of the UPP to become a senator.

Massiah was first elected senator under the Baldwin Spencer administration from 2004-2014.

The other senators are Shawn Nicholas, Johnathan Joseph and Alex Browne.

The swearing-in will take place at the Governments House this morning
