Nicholas Santana Areche, the Antiguan and Barbudan who escaped custody in St Kitts and Nevis almost two months ago has not yet been found
St. Kitts is 23 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest, encompassing an area of 69 square miles.
Lawmen are quite baffled as to how they have not been able to find him or learn about his whereabouts. Many beleive that Nicholas may have left St Kitts and Nevis.
Santana is the man who allegedly captained the La Belle Michelle, which sank with 32 people off the Coast of St Kitts and Nevis on March 28 when the vessel encountered engine problems. It is believed that 14 people perished on that dangerous journey to St Thomas
Commissioner of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, James Sutton, said the fugitive is 53 years old and is the only one still on the run after 9 people had escaped from the center.
30 Cameroonians were onboard that vessel and only 14 of them had been rescued. Santana and another Antiguan national were also rescued.
