A man of many words and one with compassion and a natural love for people, this is how many in society are describing a prominent member of the religious community Bishop Ewing Dorsett.
Bishop Dorsett passed away early Sunday Monday at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre at the age of 80 years, according to family members.
The beloved Bishop operated several businesses in the city of St Johns selling from school supplies to household items.
The stores were namely– Strings and Things, Schools Zone, and Sights Sounds and Times music store.
In the religious community, he has been a leader at all levels in the Church of God of Prophecy.
He started preaching in his twenties and by age 28 he was made a Bishop. In 1971, he was named Overseer.
Bishop Dorsett was also one of the founding members of the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission and played an integral role in the formation of the Antigua and Barbuda Evangelical Association.
