GOAB commits to burn victim’s medical care
St. John’s, July 6, 2023………..The Ministry of Works shares sincere concern for the well-being of one of its loyal employees, Mr. Gregson Joseph, who, on 26th June 2023, suffered burn injuries during work at the Burma Quarry.
At the instant of the reported injury, the Ministry maintained contact with Mr. Joseph, who is currently being treated in a private room at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC). The Ministry has also contacted immediate family members who reside in the United States and Belize as recently as 5th July 2023 apprising them of Mr. Joseph’s status.
Family members have been in direct contact with the Medical Director, SLBMC, and indicated their satisfaction with the information shared to date. Mr. Joseph continues to receive attentive care at SLBMC and, according to the Medical Director, his recovery has been very positive.
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda remains committed to ensuring that Mr. Joseph receives the necessary treatment needed for his recovery and remains in close contact with SLBMC and family members, monitoring his progress.
