Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne has sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi following a tragic rail accident that left over 275 persons dead and over 1000 persons injured.
In his letter to Prime Minister Modi, Browne said that the loss of life, especially under circumstances like this, is always painful.
“At this time, I wish to express my sincerest condolences to the government and the people of India for this most catastrophic event,” the letter stated.
India’s railway ministry has recommended that the country’s top detective agency should investigate the deadly crash that also injured over 100 people
Some families are still searching for their loved one.
The three-train collision on Friday night has been described as India’s worst rail accident this century.
