Two men have been arrested and are currently in custody, following a robbery at Roti King on Saturday night. The men who are well-known have not yet been officially named.

They entered Roti King a little after 10 pm brandishing guns, demanding money from the employee.

An off-duty police officer who was reportedly in the vicinity intervened and was shot in the leg. He has since been treated at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center and discharged.

According to State Media, the robbers escaped with at least XCD$3,000.00 from the business establishment, in addition to tickets for the ‘Farmers Only’ event which was held on Sunday.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913, or Crimestoppers.
