​A release issued by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday revealed that the fatality happened at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre on Saturday, bringing the death toll in Antigua and Barbuda from Covid to 145. 

54 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the country according to the latest dashboard. 

On the bright side, fifty-five more recoveries have also been recorded. The active count now stands at 53. 

Meanwhile, three people remain in hospital with the virus with mild symptoms. 

On Tuesday, Tourism Minister Charles Max Fernandez expressed relief that Covid-19 numbers remain steady even after the carnival season.
