Antigua and Barbuda wins CJ Caribbean Travellers Choice Awards 2022

Antigua and Barbuda, has won the CJ Caribbean Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022, after receiving high marks from Caribbean Travelers this year. 

Readers of the Caribbean Journal (CJ) have voted Antigua and Barbuda as the best in three categories which include Best Beach in the Caribbean, best Caribbean Honeymoon Destination and the Best Family Resort in the Caribbean.

Alexander Britell, the editor and publisher of the Caribbean Journal, said, “There is no larger community in the world of frequent travellers to the Caribbean than our readers. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners! You have attained the ultimate seal of approval from those who know Caribbean travel better than anyone, the platinum standard of Caribbean tourism excellence,” he said.

The Travelers’ Choice Awards of this year honoured champions in 24 different categories of travel, from hotels and resorts to honeymoons and weddings to rum bars, with over 125,000 votes cast. 

The Caribbean Journal readers are the world’s foremost experts on Caribbean travel, and they travel to the Caribbean multiple times every year, scouring the region for the newest as well as the greatest, searching looking out for hotels, restaurants, beaches and experiences. 

Every year, these readers choose the best of the best, which become the winners of the Caribbean Journal Travelers’ Choice Awards. 

The managing editor and EVP of Caribbean Journal, Guy Britton, said that the participation for this year’s Awards was higher than ever before, and it is a good omen for what should be a banner 2023 for the whole Caribbean. 

The awards results came out earlier this week, including the best restaurants, beaches and much more from all around the Caribbean region.
