JCF adds 30 US-based crime influencers to its target list

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has added 30 individuals living in the United States on a target list of persons who continue to crime and violence in Jamaica.

This is according to Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson.

He made the announcement earlier this week when Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced the states of emergency (SOEs) in eight parishes.

The 30 targeted individuals are in addition to the more than 300 local crime influencers that the JCF says it is actively building and pursuing cases against.

“We’re also working with our overseas partners on some of this. We have a target list of 30 who reside in the US and who we’re doing some work on. Those who are over there who believe that they are supporting violence and crime in Jamaica and they are doing so without anybody paying any attention to them they’re sorely mistaken. Along with our partners, we’ll deal with that aspect of things also,” commissioner Anderson stated.

He explained that there is a suite of operations that take place under a state of public emergencies that cause persons to make different decisions and choices, especially those in the “criminal underworld”.
