Weekly visits to farms around the island continue

The newly appointed Agriculture Minister E.P Chet Greene remains true to a commitment to engage farmers from various communities on ways his ministry can assist with the improvement of their produce.

Greene had the Agriculture Ministry added to his portfolio following the January 18th general elections.

He has been meeting with farmers for several weeks now and the engagement is expected to continue until farmers in every section of the island are involved.

Last Friday, Greene and a team of extension officers traveled to McKinnon’s, Cassada Gardens and Weatherills to meet with farmers there.

Chief Extension Officer, Owolabi Elabanjo, meetings have been informative.
