7 April 2023 - 00:15

Joel O’Marde was been granted bail by Magistrate Dane Hamilton Jr on Thursday.

The Point resident was charged with disorderly conduct, threatening language, and being armed with an offensive weapon after he defied a court order to vacate a Booby Alley property this week

O’Marde who appeared for his first hearing told the court he wasn’t ready to plea to the charges and the magistrate adjourned the matter to June 5th

Bail was granted for $2000 with a cash component of $300.  He is also expected to report to the St Johns Police Station every Monday and Saturday

He was also told to stay away from the prosecution

Police say they used non-lethal methods to remove O’Marde from the property after he threatened police. He also armed himself with a weapon during the four-hour-long incident.
