Trade Unionist Clearance Crump was laid to rest on Tuesday. Honest, witty, and caring were just a few words used to describe him
President of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union Kem Riley said he will remember Crump as someone who used his life to help and encourage others
Other employees said “he gained his wings and will be genuinely missed”
Brother Crump was also described as stern but a man of service who met the need of many employees across Antigua and Barbuda.
“He will be missed because they don’t make men like him anyone,” one employee said
Former Prime Minister and Trade Unionist Baldwin Spencer said Crump was a true national of Antigua and Barbuda and he will surely be missed.
“He was a dear friend, a dear brother, and one who worked very hard to advance and enhance his brothers and sisters in the labour movement. He was a tremendous asset to the Labour movement…He did everything in his power to advance the cause of the working people of this country,” Spencer added.
