Family, friends, and members of the wider community flooded The Cathedral of St. John the Divine as 9-Year-Old Chantel Crump was being laid to rest in a pink themed funeral.

Chantel, who would’ve celebrated her 10th birthday on Monday, lay in a pink coffin as family and friends paid their final respects. Following the service, Chantel was laid to rest in a tomb draped in pink flowers and surrounded by stuffed teddy bears, symbols of innocence and the outpouring of community affection.
As her small pink coffin was rolled into the tomb, mourners wept openly, struggling to contain the raw sorrow of the moment.

A family shouldn’t have gone through this. Not the death but having to live with the fact that she was abducted and murdered! Justice shall prevail
