4.0 magnitude earthquake rocks Antigua

An earthquake recording a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale was reported north of Antigua and Barbuda this morning

According to the UWI Seismic Research Center, the quake struck at 5:49 am at a depth of 10km

Over the past few weeks, several earthquakes were reported in Antigua and Barbuda and other neighboring islands

The Automatic Earthquake Location from the UWI Seismic Research Centre, the quake struck. 

  • Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, 141 km, N
  • Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, 148 km, NE
  • Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, 241 km, NNW
