4.0 magnitude earthquake rocks Antigua

An earthquake recording a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale was reported north of Antigua and Barbuda this morning

According to the UWI Seismic Research Center, the quake struck at 5:49 am at a depth of 10km

Over the past few weeks, several earthquakes were reported in Antigua and Barbuda and other neighboring islands

  • Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, 148 km, NE
  • Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, 241 km, NNW
