Sonja Henry

The health of the young woman who was badly injured, when she fell from a truck, at an Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party motorcade months ago has significantly improved.

Sonja Henry is seeing better days after months of hospitalization and surgeries to get her back on her feet. At one point the mother of one had to be flown out for additional medical care and treatment.

A photo posted on Henry’s Facebook Page shows two contrasting photographs of her progress so far.

One photo showed her after admission with tubes still connected through the mouth, the other shows a brighter and happier Henry standing smiling next to a hospital bed.

The photo was captioned “Same room different energy”. The 25-year-old has been hospitalized since the January 15th incident.

Henry along with several other passengers reportedly jumped off a truck in the Fig Tree area during a megacade that was held in the lead-up to the January 18th polls. Her legs and pelvis were crushed as a result of the incident.
