After cheating food from four different establishments in Antigua and Barbuda, a con man named Alrick Oliver has been sentenced to two years in prison.

According to the Courts, on May 17, Oliver was convicted of stealing $174 in food from Boundary Bites, about $200 in food and drinks from Quick Serve Delivery Service on June 15; about $280 in food from Carib Bites and $188 in food and drinks from KFC on June 25.

He pulled off his many swindling acts by calling food delivery services and dashing when the food was delivered. Once the food is delivered, Oliver asks the delivery guy to “hold on a while so he could get the cash” but never returns.

As heard in court, his known delivery spots were Potters and on several occasions Tindale Road

The establishments reported the matter to the police.

When questioned by law enforcement about the allegations, he denied it however on one occasion, Oliver confessed, admitting to the cops that he had in fact committed the offense. His excuse was “Yeah mi do um. Me min hungry, me nah go lie”.

This is not the only run-in Oliver had with the law. He is notorious for similar acts. In fact, he has another year to serve behind bars for failing to pay a previous fine
