The Ministry of Creative Industry has released the official results from the J’ouvert and last lap celebrations along with the children’s carnival.

According to the results signed off by the Denise Gardiner, Chair of the Judge Committee, the Wadadli Island Majorettes claimed the top spot of for marching bands, 1st Explosion Cheerleaders, and 2nd Uprising Dance Group.

Excelsior and Villa Primary School placed top in the preschool mas category for Junior Carnival, while Beehive Learning Centre and La Petite Learning Centre placed 1st and 2nd, respectively.

Mary E Pigott Primary was judged the winner in the primary school category with Sunnyside Tutorial and Bendals Primary placed 1st and 2nd.

Private band Dynamics Kids received an honorable mention for their participation.

Popular Ban Insane Carnival is the winner of T-Shirt, with Myst Carnival and Icons trailing in the 1st and 2nd positions.

Insane also claimed the large band title Myst Carnival 1st and X Klusive 2nd.

Sechuns and Small band Fuze Carnival and Chinese Association received honorable mentions.

Fuze band also earned the Band of the Year title for Small Bands, with WAAC and the Chinese association occupying the 1st and 2nd positions.

Earlier late Tuesday night, the Ministry revealed that more than one artiste has claimed this year’s road march title, a first for the country.

Ricardo Drue’s “Last Man Standing”, Nat U by Claudette Peters, and “Let It Rain” by Empress ft Soca Villan and Psycho tied for the road march title.

According to the results shared last night, the three songs played 25 times.
