Insane dominates multiple categories in 2024 Carnival Tuesday results

The Carnival season in Antigua and Barbuda has once again showcased the vibrant and dynamic spirit of the islands, with the 2024 edition delivering a spectacular display of music, dance, and cultural expression.

From the grand parade to the electrifying Jouvert celebrations, this year’s Carnival has left an indelible mark on the hearts of both locals and visitors alike.

In the  Large Bands category, “Myst Carnival” took the 1st runner up spot, while the  winner’s title went to “Insane Carnival”.

The Medium Bands category saw “Xclusive Carnival” clinching the 2nd place position, with “Sechun The Band” emerging as the 1st place winner and “African Gems” taking the top spot.

The Small Band Honorable Mention award went to “Red Hot Nation”.

Jouvert, the electrifying pre-dawn celebration, saw “Wet And Wild (The Spirit Of Carnival)” claiming the 1st Band on the Road title, while “Caution(Cricket &Mas)Nobody Go Run Me!” emerged as the Largest Band on the Road.

The Best Jouvert Troupe category was led by “Caution (Nobody Go Run Me )” in 2nd place, “Chattabox (Aliens &Nauts)” in 1st place, and the winner, “Brewmasters Crew(Safari Jungle Jam)”.

The coveted Road March 2024 title was taken by “Young Vice New Gen Band-Gravity Fall(70 plays)”, with “Tian Winter Cyan Contain(23 plays)” in 2nd place and “Kid Fresh Caution Band -Top Of The Morning(33 plays)” in 1st place.

In the T-shirt Mas category, “Insane Carnival” emerged victorious, with “Myst Carnival” and “Xclusive Carnival” taking the 1st and 2nd place positions, respectively.

The Carnival Monday Wear results showcased “Insane Carnival” as the winner in the Large Bands category, with “Myst Carnival” in 1st place. In the Medium Bands category, “African Gems” took the winner’s spot, with “Sechun The Band” in 1st place and “Xclusive Carnival” in 2nd place.

The Small Band category featured an Honorable Mention for “Bouyon”.

The Floats competition saw “CPM” as the winner, “ABEC” in 1st place, and “INET” in 2nd place. The Marching Bands results placed “Rockerville Elite” as the winner, “Sparkles Cheerleaders” in 1st place, and “Explosion” in 2nd place. The Spirit of Carnival Marching Band award went to “Uprising”.

In the Pre-School Troupes category, “La Petite Pre School” emerged as the winner, with “Bee Hive Learning Centre” in 1st place and “Willikies Child Development Centre” in 2nd place. The Primary School Mas competition was dominated by “Villa Primary School” as the winner, “Mary E Pigott Primary” in 1st place, and “New Wintrophe Primary” in 2nd place.

The Private Bands (Jr) category saw “Dynamics Kids” as the winner and “Insane Carnival” in 1st place.

This year’s Carnival celebration has once again demonstrated the unwavering spirit and vibrant cultural heritage of Antigua and Barbuda.
