Over 30 accidents recorded over the Carnival weekend

By Zaya Williams

As the vibrant rhythms and colorful celebrations of carnival festivities echoed through the streets, another less jubilant narrative unfolded – one of traffic accidents and minor injuries that served as a stark reminder of the importance of cautious driving during high-energy events.

Over the carnival weekend, a total of 35 traffic accidents occurred, resulting in 10 individuals sustaining minor injuries, according to official reports.

The carnival weekend, which saw roads filled with both locals and visitors, brought with it a surge in vehicular activity. Drivers, often tasked with navigating congested streets, were very busy.

However, the consequence of this heightened activity manifested in the form of staggering traffic accidents that spanned the duration of the weekend.

The common thread among these incidents appears to be a lack of adherence to cautious driving practices.

As revelers were swept up in the allure of carnival, some drivers seemingly neglected the fundamental principles of road safety. The result? A series of preventable collisions also led to 10 individuals sustaining minor injuries.
