Eleven students to take up studies in China

On Thursday, eleven students who received scholarships to study in the People’s Republic of China are beginning their undergraduate or graduate programs in architecture, business administration, information security, geography, and political science.

The Antigua and Barbuda Cabinet fully supports their studies and wishes them success.

Yesterday, the students met with Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Cabinet members, who reminded them to find balance in this phase of their lives.

While having fun is important, completing their studies and qualifying for post-graduate degrees will set the foundation for future growth and development.

The prime minister emphasized the need for them to become globally competitive and raise the national flag of Antigua and Barbuda high during their studies in China.

These scholarships were made possible through the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme with the assistance and coordination of the Embassy of the PRC in St. John’s.
