Government of Antigua and Barbuda offering fully-funded scholarships to qualified students in the nation
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda is excited to announce fully-funded scholarship programs available to qualified students from Antigua and Barbuda, offered by the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Cuba. These scholarships are part of the esteemed “The World in Serbia” initiative and the Annual Cuba Medical Programme.
These scholarships will be available for the 2025/2026 academic year for Serbian language courses, and for undergraduate or graduate academic studies in Serbia starting in the 2026/2027 academic year.
This initiative is a result of the ongoing collaboration between the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington D.C.
*The scholarships include:*
â˘â â A temporary residence visa
â˘â â Free validation for high school or university documents
â˘â â Tuition-free Serbian language courses (online and intensive in-person)
â˘â â Full accommodation and meals in student dormitories
â˘â â Health insurance coverage
â˘â â A monthly stipend of 18,000 Serbian dinars
â˘â â Access to select university programs across various faculties in Serbia
*Eligibility Requirements:*
Interested candidates should:
â˘â â Complete the application form, indicating their preferred and alternate faculties
â˘â â Submit a medical examination form
â˘â â Review the list of participating faculties and required documentation instructions
Applications must be submitted online via the official platform and also as a hard copy through the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Committee:

Furthermore, all original documents, along with the signed application and medical certificate, need to be sent to the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Committee – Office of the Prime Minister by July 11, 2025.
*For the Cuban Programme, the following scholarships are available:*
â˘â â 8 Medical Scholarships
â˘â â 1 Scholarship in Dentistry
â˘â â 1 in Health Technologies (covering Anesthesia, Traumatology, Water Rescue, and Thanatology)
â˘â â 6 for Bachelor of Health Technologies (Optics and Optometry, Speech Therapy, Medical Imaging)
â˘â â 5 Specializations for Cuban-trained doctors
â˘â â 2 Additional Scholarships in Agricultural Engineering (BSc) and Mathematics Education (BA)
*Applicants must meet these requirements:*
â˘â â At least seven (7) CSEC passes (Grades 1, 2, or 3), including:
– Mathematics
– English A
– Biology
– Chemistry
â˘â â CAPE passes in Biology and Chemistry
â˘â â Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset
