An interim injunction is being sought by Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh against the Judicial and Legal Services Commission.

She seeks injunctive relief while mounting a constitutional claim against the Commission, which has charged her with disciplinary allegations.

Walsh has put together a legal team consisting of Kenny Kentish, Wendel Robinson, and Leon ‘Chaku’ Symister.

She claims that her constitutional rights were violated, and she was not afforded natural justice.

This is a significant escalation of the legal dispute between the Chief Magistrate and the Commission that suspended her on July 20th with full pay until further notice.

Ms Walsh was served with at least 10 disciplinary charges on July 12th, but the details of the allegations are not immediately clear.
