Small Single Engine Plane en route to St Martin from Antigua Plunges in Sea Off Herbert’s Beach, Nevis

A small Piper single-engine plane that was en route from Antigua to St. Martin experienced engine trouble and attempted to land at Vance Amory International Airport on Nevis.

However, the plane dropped short in the sea during the approach, off Herbert’s Beach.

The pilot, who is from St. Martin, and a student pilot from Anguilla were the only people on board.

Fortunately, both of them swam ashore with minor injuries.

Their identities are yet to be confirmed.

Efforts are currently underway to retrieve the plane from the water.
