The Israeli military has announced that it plans to carry out a comprehensive attack on Gaza involving land, air and sea forces, but has not provided any details regarding timings or specifics.
It is expected that Israel will launch a ground offensive into Gaza. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has informed frontline soldiers that “the next stage is coming.”
As a result, Israel has advised 1.1 million Palestinians living in northern Gaza to move to the south, and thousands have been leaving via vehicles or on foot.
Last weekend, over 1,300 people were killed in Israel when Hamas militants entered the border and attacked civilians and soldiers.
Palestinian authorities claim that more than 2,200 people have been killed in Israel’s bombing campaign against the Gaza Strip, launched in response to the attack.
