Ministry of Tourism holds talks with the St. John’s Taxi Association and Police

24 October 2023 - 09:19

This week, the Ministry of Tourism organized a productive discussion between the St. John’s Taxi Association and the Traffic Police.

The purpose of the meeting was to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of passengers during the upcoming cruise tourism season, which is expected to be the biggest one yet.

The number of home porting passengers is set to increase significantly, from 2,500 last year to over 25,000 this year.

Moreover, there will be no less than six ships docking on 31 separate days, which means a significant increase in both passenger and vehicle traffic.
