The highly anticipated Booby Alley Housing project is finally set to begin and the area representative, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, has announced plans for a town hall meeting with local residents.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the preliminary drawings and other related matters concerning the project.
Gaston Browne revealed that the Chinese engineers have submitted preliminary drawings for the project, which will be financed through a grant from the Chinese government.
The drawings propose condominium-styled buildings which are at a stage where feedback from future occupants would be valuable in ensuring their needs are met.
The project has received approval to proceed from the overseeing committee, and the Chinese engineers are expected to be on-site soon to finalize the design.
The Prime Minister hopes to arrange at least one public consultation to get input from the residents.
