Three local bakers have clinched coveted spots in the semi-finals of the highly acclaimed Caribbean Baking Awards.
The talented individuals making their mark are Shaarah Jackson Lawrence, representing ‘Creative Confections,’ Philip Kapcio, the creative force behind ‘Philton’s Cakery,’ and Timoy Titus, the artisan from ‘Teez Delights.’
Shaarah Jackson Lawrence,is contending for the title of Caribbean Rising Star Baker and aspires to be acknowledged as the mastermind behind the best butter rum cake.
Timoy Titus has received nominations across various categories, including Best Wedding Cake, Best Butter Rum Cake, Best Cookie Art, Cake Hero, Baker of the Year (Small Business), and Cake Artist of the Year.
Meanwhile, Philip Kapcio has secured nominations in three distinct categories: Best Bakery Shop of the Year, Baker of the Year, and Cake Artist of the Year.
These three outstanding bakers emerged triumphant from a competitive pool of 40 contestants spanning the entire region to advance to the semi-finals.
Only five individuals will progress to the final round, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
Voting polls are poised to open on November 30 and will remain active until December 15.
