Antiguan Baker Timoy Titus won the 3rd place prize in the cake showcase segment of the inaugural Caribbean Baking Awards, marking a proud moment for Antigua and Barbuda.

Titus secured the accolade on Saturday with a stunning 6-layered masterpiece, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering encouragement.

“I am incredibly honored to receive this award,” Titus remarked.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my team. This recognition is not just for me but for the entire nation of Antigua and Barbuda.”

Titus was among the finalists alongside Shaarah Jackson Lawrence of ‘Creative Confections’ and Philip Kapcio of ‘Philton’s Cakery.’

Titus received multiple nominations at the competition’s outset, including Best Wedding Cake, Best Butter Rum Cake, Best Cookie Art, Cake Hero, Baker of the Year (Small Business), and Cake Artist of the Year, successfully advancing to the finals in each category.

Shaarah Jackson Lawrence, who initially competed for the title of Caribbean Rising Star Baker and aimed to be recognized as the creative force behind the best butter rum cake, secured a spot in the finals for the latter category.

Meanwhile, Philip Kapcio, initially nominated in three distinct categories—Best Bakery Shop of the Year, Baker of the Year, and Cake Artist of the Year—contended for the Best Bakery Shop of the Year award in the finals.

However, none of the local finalists emerged victorious in their respective categories.
