A man is now nursing a gunshot wound to the mouth, after he was attacked by two assailants Friday evening. The men reportedly tried to rob him in the Browne’s Avenue area shortly after 8:30. The attackers escaped while the victim was rushed to hospital. It is not clear whether anything was taken by the armed robbers.

Police are asking anyone with information which could assist in nabbing the assailants to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
