On January 22, murder accused Brittany Jno-Baptiste will get a chance to formally tell the court whether or not she killed Jane Finch in 2021.

Jno-Baptiste, who is in her early 20s, is accused of murdering the Piccadilly resident in her home on the night of October 4, 2021.

The accused was reportedly discovered in Finch’s home on the day in question, along with the woman’s lifeless body with a number of stab wounds.

It is said that Finch called the police moments prior and also posted on social media asking for help with an intruder.

Initially, the defendant was diagnosed with a psychological disorder, but after months of treatment, she was deemed fit to enter a plea.

The case was then committed to the High Court, where the young girl finally appeared this week.

Her case was adjourned until January 22 for her arraignment.
