Murder accused Dexter Scotland’s case committed

Dexter Scotland of Willikies, the man accused of killing fellow villager Jahfari Isaac has had his case placed on the High Court’s docket for the September assizes.

On Monday in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court, Scotland heard that the police have found sufficient evident against him to warrant a High Court hearing.

Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel committed the matter to the January assists.

Isaac, a father of a three year old  was shot multiple times on the evening of June 4th,2023.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 8 pm outside a local bar in his village. Isaac sustained gunshot wounds to the head, thigh, side, and scrotum.

Despite receiving treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, he succumbed to his injuries about a week later.

The police investigated the matter and in no time, Scotland was arrested and charged.

The committal of the matter also happened in record time.
