Popular figure Kentae Semper, affectionately known as Rastaman by many, has died.
The circumstances surrounding his death are still a bit sketchy; however, reports are that he was found dead in the early hours of this morning. Semper hailed from the Bendals community.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne said the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party had lost a true stalwart and friend.
“I am really sorry to hear of his untimely passing and wish to express my sincere condolences to his family members. He was a very affable and talented person. A strong Labourite who defended and promoted the ABLP on his PFM radio program and in other fora. We stand in solidarity with his family,” Browne said
Many of his friends and family also expressed sadness over his passing on social media, some recalling their last conversation with him as late as Friday, while others joked about always seeing him in short pants.
From all accounts, Semper was well-loved and appreciated by many people.
Condolences to the Semper family and all his friends. May God grant you strength, comfort and peace at this time.
