One of Antigua and Barbuda’s longest-serving ambassadors Sir Ramez Hadeed has died

He has been described by many as a distinguished figure who had served in the fields of diplomacy, community service, and nation-building for over four decades

He was awarded for his significant contributions in these areas at the Governments House just a few days before his passing.

Sir Ramez Hadeed died of a heart attack around midnight at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

In recognition of his achievements, he was also knighted in November 2022 which was upgraded one year later

He opened doors for Antigua & Barbuda with a number of states in the Middle East.

His passing has left a void in the fields he dedicated his life to, and he will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
