The team of soca artiste Ricardo Drue has announced that the album he completed just days before his passing will be released on January 18.
The album called ‘My Year,’ will be released on January 18, posthumously fulfilling his vision for 2024.
A snippet of one of his songs offered a preview of the album during the announcement at a Candlelight Vigil held at Antigua Recreation Grounds.
The event featured heartfelt performances from fellow artists like Claudette Peters, Tian Winter, Drastic Psycho, and others who considered Drue a friend.
Tearful tributes and video messages from industry friends added a poignant touch to the vigil, attended by thousands commemorating the life of the father of five.
Drue passed away on December 12.
He was found unresponsive and could not be revived.
