US President Lands in St. Croix to relax; when Will He Vacation in Antigua?

27 December 2023 - 14:45

President of the United States, Joe Biden, has arrived in St. Croix, accompanied by his wife, for a much-needed break before launching into a new year of political campaigning.

The island is a familiar destination for the couple, who have been vacationing there for over a decade.

St. Croix holds a special place in Biden’s heart, as he sought refuge on the island last year before making the final decision to run for re-election.

Similarly, in 2019, he retreated to St. Croix to prepare for his first challenge to former President Donald Trump.

The island’s serene ambiance and tranquil atmosphere provide the ideal setting for Biden to contemplate his plans and recharge his batteries.

As the President settles into his week-long stay, he will soak in the island’s warm 80-degree climate and gentle tradewinds.

This year’s trip holds particular significance for Biden, as he prepares for his final election after more than five decades of public service.

The year 2021 has been challenging for the President, with numerous crises and ongoing conflicts at home and abroad.

This vacation is a well-deserved respite for Biden, allowing him to recharge and return home ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

Perhaps Antigua and Barbuda will be on Bidens list of escape destinations next year. You just never know.
