Visitors Now Have to Pay to Visit the Cathedral

2 January 2024 - 10:36

The Cathedral of St John the Divine, located on Upper Newgate Street, is planning to improve its Visitor Experience by implementing a new entrance fee of $13 for anyone wishing to visit the historic building.

This historic Anglican Church has been undergoing restoration work since 2010, with several areas such as the roof, aisles, electrical works, and churchyard receiving much needed attention.

In a recent notice, the Cathedral has requested schools to contact the deanery office at least 48 hours before visiting.

The opening hours have been confirmed as 9 am to 4 pm during the weekdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
