Thyana Kai Sebastian has touched down in the Nature Isle, gearing up for her appearance on the stage of the 2024 Miss OECS Pageant.

The 2018 Labour Queen and a contender in last year’s Queen of Carnival competition, Sebastian is prepared to proudly represent Antigua and Barbuda in the upcoming pageant scheduled for January 12.

She left the country on Friday and joined the other four competitors on the island, ready to showcase her talents and vie for the coveted title.

Born on February 24, 1997, Thyana’s journey into the realm of dance began at the Antigua Dance Academy, where she honed her skills in Afro-Caribbean styles, Jazz, and Modern Contemporary genres.

In 2007, she co-founded The Elite Dancers Antigua alongside her sisters, taking on the role of Principal Dance Choreographer. Through the captivating art of dance, Thyana has made a lasting impact, dedicated to preserving cultural heritage.

Thyana’s pageant odyssey commenced with a significant triumph in the Antigua Barbuda Labour Queen Pageant in 2018. More recently, she participated in The Queen of Carnival Competition 2023, showcasing her versatility and grace on stage.

Beyond the pageant spotlight, Thyana contributes as a Dance Instructor within the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Creative Industries.

The reigning Miss OECS hails from Antigua and Barbuda. Keriann Thomas, a law enforcement officer, excelled in multiple segments, earning accolades for Best in Creative National Wear, Best Creative National Wear, Best Swimwear, Best in Swimwear, Best Evening Gown, and Best in Evening Gown.

She, too, is currently in Dominica.

The show takes place at 8pm at the Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt, Dominica.
