A delegation from the Organisation of American States, led by Sir Ron Sanders, the Antigua and Barbuda Ambassador to the OAS, traveled to Guatemala City to witness the installation ceremony of the newly-elected President, Bernardo Arévalo.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Sunday with representatives from various countries in attendance, demonstrating their support for the democratic process in Guatemala.

Despite attempts to subvert the will of the Guatemalan electorate, the OAS has been tirelessly working to ensure that the country’s democratic principles are upheld.

Sir Ron has been a leading figure in these efforts, and his presence at the inauguration ceremony on behalf of the OAS is a testament to the recognition he deserves for his contribution towards preserving these democratic principles.
