By Zaya Williams

Allegations against former travel agent Michelle Anthony are mounting with alleged victims accusing her of scamming them out of almost $50,000 in total.

As of this week, Anthony – the owner of Michy D’s Travel Agency located on Old Parham Rd-now has at least four charges of fraudulent conversation hanging over her head.

Earlier this week, she was slapped with a charge for allegedly defrauding a woman out of $4, 355.80 on 18th November, 2023.

More and more people are coming forward since news broke of Anthony’s travel agency scam late last year where he reportedly failed to fulfil ticket purchases and misappropriating funds entrusted to her.

Late last year the 50-year-old resident of Lightfoot, was charged for unlawfully converting $29,031.31 provided by the Government on August 25,2023 for personal use.

Furthermore, she stands accused of similar actions, this time involving $1500.00 entrusted to her by a woman on December 1 and 10, 2023.

Another victim reportedly suffered financial losses totalling $12,650.00 between August 15 and December 13 due to the defendant’s alleged fraudulent activities.

But although she is only facing these fraud charges so far, other allegations are being investigated.
