The 2024 edition of the Cool and Smooth sponsored Ministry of Sports Interschool Netball League is scheduled to shoot off next Monday, January 29.
Teams will gather at the YMCA Sports Complex for a brief opening ceremony, after which one match in the 16 and Under Secondary division will be played.
That matchup is Christ the King High School (CKHS) versus Irene B Williams Secondary School (IBWSS).
Teams will battle in four divisions: 13 and Under Primary, 13 and Under Secondary, 16 and Under Secondary and 18 And Under.
The 13 and Under Primary divisions will be split into two zones. In Zone A, J.T. Ambrose Primary, Sunnydale Primary, Old Road Primary, Greenbay Primary, Jennings Primary, Golden Grove Primary and Five Islands Primary.
Meanwhile, in Zone B, Villa Primary, Willikies Primary, Charlesworth T Samuel Primary, Sunnyside Tutorial, Piggotts Primary, Pares Primary, Liberta Primary, and St. Andrew’s Primary will battle it out.
The winner of the two zones will then play in a final match-up to determine the overall champion.
Sunnydale are the defending champions.
Antigua Girls High School (AGHS) who are the defending 13 and Under Secondary champions will be looking to repeat but will face tough competition from Princess Margaret School (PMS), Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) and Irene B Williams Secondary School.
In the 16 and Under Secondary sections, AGHS is the defending champion.
They will face off against the 2023 Knockout champions, Princess Margaret School, Ottos Comprehensive School, Irene B Williams Secondary School, Christ the King High School, Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) and Glanvilles Secondary School (GSS).
Meanwhile, in the 18 and Under category, Antigua State College (ASC), Christ the King High School, Princess Margaret School, Jennings Secondary School (JSS), Clare Hall Secondary School, and defending champions, Ottos Comprehensive, will do battle.
Games will be played from Monday-Friday.
