The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is actively seeking individuals from Barbuda who are interested in joining the service.
According to Police Commissioner Atley Rodney, “We are presently on a recruitment drive, and we want some of the citizens of Barbuda to be a part of it. There is an opportunity for persons between the ages of 18 to 35, provided they have a reasonable standard of education.”
To qualify, applicants must also possess a sound character and a clean criminal record.
The top cop emphasizes, “We are looking for people with a solid background. We want to have more Barbudans join the organization. There is no guarantee that because you are from Barbuda, you will be stationed there; you can work in any area of the organization.”
Rodney, currently in Barbuda for talks with fellow officers and officials of the Barbuda Council, mentions that several application forms will be left behind for those wishing to join the force.
